Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

V interesting - there can't be many peeps who have owned both. The AJP looks more purposeful too. Couple of things - the exhaust is underneath - does it not get bashed up on rock steps, or is the guard good enough? Can you get racks for luggage. I guess so, because it's an ideal long-distance TET b...

Re: Covid 19 Coronavirus

The problem with the BBC is that it has been and to greater extent still is, an institution of the UK govt and in no way independent. It suffers from a lack of diversity in class, gender and race. It has the hangovers from appointments made by the establishment and aligns itself with the old school...

Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

The AJP does look really good. And nearer the right weight for a proper off-road adv bike. I like the simplicity of the well-proven Huskie engine but also things like the underseat 17 litre fuel tank and the tablet dash for GPS as standard. Has anyone tried the Doma exhaust/ECU/air intake kit? Supp...

Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

I went to test ride the CCM when it first came out. I really wanted to like it for a variety of reasons, I 'd had CCM's in the past, liked the design concept and had no concerns re the engine. The test ride was disappointing - the bike felt too short, I seemed to be sitting on the bars. The cost whe...

Re: Mesh armour jackets

Back to the original question about mesh armour jackets, I bought a Leatt all-in-one mesh jacket, covered in CE armour, back protection, kidney belt etc etc. Fits well and lets the air through very well. Mr Uprite, what Leatt jacket part no./description dis you get? (Struggling with Leatt website -...

Re: The best just got better

Can't see that it's any worse than most manufacturers PR campaigns. What do you expect them to say? "It is a shit machine, that nobody needs" ? BMW have pushed their overweight agricultural implements for decades on the basis of the machines "go anywhere" ability. They don't say "the gearchange is s...

Unable to speak about Scotland but I suggest you dont make strong plans to come here in Wales, local lockdowns in place and likely escalating.
Plus it's raining and we are going to close the bridges  :D

Re: A new problem has appeared.

I'll own up to be a keen cyclist ( road & trail) as well as motorcyclist. Road positioning is an interesting topic on both - if you ride in the gutter, there is always a car, van or lorry who tries to squeeze past, cutting in too close, risking pushing you into kerb/hedge/fall off under rear wheels ...

Re: A new problem has appeared.

In a minority of Society understanding, tolerance and respect has been replaced with Laws, entitlement and selfishness. Thankfully the majority appear to be willing to adopt an attitude for positive coexistence. Well said, Toni. I hope you're right about the majority. It doesn't seem like it someti...
