Re: Test ride today. BMW F800 GS , 1200 GSA , All new 1200 GS

Average single cam 47-49 (95) twin cam 44-45(97)less with (95) two up plus luggage and use the power will see less than 40 but keep below 60mph with a light wrist and low 60's achievable.
Air temp does seem to influence things.

Re: Test ride today. BMW F800 GS , 1200 GSA , All new 1200 GS

Having ridden a 2006 Adventure for 72000+ I would have said go for it, but having DOWNGRADED to the twin cam 2010 I would suggest you take one for at least a two hour trip at motorway speed , in the thinnest gloves and boots you are likely to wear. Re: Small vs Large tent

Always felt warmer in a smaller tent ,but its a bit subjective as I have never had all four pitched at the same place at the same time, what you sleep in and on is probably the greater consideration. From a biking point of view, having sufficient space to doff and store wet kit and still keep the sl...

Re: The Design Flaw Baked into Motorcycle Jackets

OK this year is the exception but generally the weather in the UK is best described as variable, or sunshine and showers, the number of days it rains from dawn to dusk are few. My first suite was a Revit GP5 water proof outer with chest vents, never really cool enough in hot weather and moist nipple...

Re: NEC BIKE SHOW COSTS

Totally agree have avoided the last few years but tempted this year for an earlly look at the KTM1190A.

You can bet the exhibitors dont get space for free, wonder if they charge a group for performing
