Some roads are on Bing/Google but others aren't, eg. Lions Lane, Cranleigh. Guess that's part of the fun, finding what isn't on maps!

Surrey Council have a list of BOATS with a grid ref start, finish and map no. So for example, Sheepwalk Lane, Abinger, grid ref start 100 503, grid ref finish 110 496, Explorer map 146. Is there a way to find out where this is? I tried finding out from various sites but the grid references they ask ...

What I'm after may not be achievable! I need waterproofs that go over normal clothes but has some protection. I could get XXXL textile gear but would end up like the Michelin man. It also has to pack down smaller than normal gear to stow away in panniers. And not cost the same price as a house in Hu...

I've been looking for waterproofs with some kind of protection/armour to put on over normal clothes. Difficult. Just something that gives some protection as some is better than none.
