Are you planning on going over or under the Millau bridge. You could stay in Millau itself and do both. Plenty of good cheap hotels in Millau, and somewhere I have stayed a few times. In the superbike world, Hondas are regarded as the 'safe' and 'reliable' option. They're refined, which makes them less 'edgy'. Can't fault any of the advice so far. A39 is amazing. St Ives to St Just around the coast another great road not fast but senic, St Mawes is great. Had a X9 Evo for a few years loved it. Easy to live with cruised along....but then you started to miss being able to kick down thru gears on twisty roads. MZ TS250. 1978, I am on my new GT250c last one before the X7. Long, long straight road. I see a bike in the distance and wind my (100mph as tested in Bike magazine) Japanese sporty bike for spotty kids up to the max. Yes I am gaining and through the blue haze I see it's an old farts bike an MZ 250....

A lot of the French municapals that are open all year cater for the Traveller community, stayed on a couple during the summer while they were there without any problems, certinaly a lot cleaner than the one's we get over here.

I can remember 2 German guy's turning up at Yelverton round about (1979) in matching Puch all in one waterproofs and helmet's. Bikes had Mag wheels. They where on an endurance ride around Europe. Puch owned by BMW?
