Route advice required - San Sebastián to Calais

It looks like we might end up riding home from Northern Spain due to the Brittany Ferries boat issue  . If so, we need a route from San Sebastián up through France to Calais. We’ve got 3.5 days to do it, so 3 overnight stops before Calais. We want to stay off the motorways and avoid coming up t...

Brittany Ferries - anyone know what's going on?

Has anyone on the forum been affected or managed to get a refund or a reschedule so f...

Re: Ducati Multistrada meets the Strata Florida

Nice one 8-) .
As a matter of interest is the 'Gap' road still open to bikes? Would be good to see a big bike go up that well-known route as well 8-) .

Re: helmet removal at filling staions

Unfortunately, some religions think that their faith trumps British law. The authorities are also at fault by not upholding British law regardless of religion. I recently watched a documentary about France and the head of the Police said "in France, you are either French or you are not French. If yo...

Re: Asked not to put a bike in a car space at work

Sounds like the MD is a bit off with his thinking...after all, if you parked your car in the same space as where you parked your bike then he wouldn't have a problem...it's not like a random person has parked in one of his spots...however, "he who pays the piper calls the tune"... :(

Re: helmet removal at filling staions

Maybe the attendant had been watching too many episodes of "The Sweeney" . A 1970's villain's favourite item of clothing when doing a 'job' was the motorbike helmet  .

Route advice please - Picos/North West Spain

Can anyone recommend a route in The Picos/North West Spain covering about 5 days and ending up in Bilbao? We'd also like to stay in one place for 2 of those nights and do 2 day trips to break up the route a bit. We're going in June and we'll be entering the region from the Jaca/Pamplona direction. T...
