Re: Hand Guards – a cautionary tale.

You got me Itchy.
I do have some serious MX boots. But believe me these are better & they do come in other colours. The forces alpine troops use the white ones with blue soles.
At least they're a conversation piece - "Who's the old prat in the yellow boots"

Re: Hand Guards – a cautionary tale.

This reminds me of the Motorcycle Trials & Scrambles scene in the 70's. Nearly everybody used Dunlop Industrial Wellington Boots with the shin & ankle reinforcements & "STEEL TOECAPS" (ToeTectors). Apparently somebody had their foot crushed in a pair & the steel toecap coll...

Thanks Craigrevo for showing the picture.
I could just see them getting ripped off in the deep rutts or on a ledge close to the undergrowth.

Re: First off road bike for my dad!!??!!

Add the Suzuki DJEBEL 200cc to that list. My personal preferance is the Beta Alp 200. It's Low, Light, Electric & Kick start with good cycle parts & the superb Suzuki engine. They have a realy good gear spread which makes them superb off road & pretty good on the black top. They're very a...

Re: Green laning kit???

Spare clutch lever unless you've got very strong metal backbone hand guards.
Some way of blowing up a tyre (small pump or CO2 inflator). Make sure one of your valve caps is a valve extractor. Some gaffer/duct tape rolled onto one of your spanner shafts.

Celibrities & their Off Road / Adventure Mounts. (Lots of Pictures Please)

Thought I liked CCM's because of their Suzuki Engines, White Power Suspension, Brembo Brakes & Shoddy Assembly.
Just realised this was only a Technophiles Fantacy!

It's realy cos they Give a Great Ride & Don't need Kicking.

Re: Must see Russian offroad video

Great video. Not quite what I want to be doing every day on the Hiss. Even the guy filming on the little Suzuki Djebel "Bit the Gunge" a few times. They all had a big smile on their faces Even the guy with the engine in bits. Looked terminal to me. Keep finding them Russ. Miles better than...
