It was slippy out there today and damn wet. Just about managed to keep it shiny side up...

Re: OS Mapping question
Always ridden them unless they’re signed restricting them. Never had an issue.
Re: Mallorca
Mallorca is amazing for riding off road. We’ve never had any issues with landowners, walkers, pushbikes or horses. The last time we went out, we only saw one other person out on the trails in the whole day. Follow my link above to Mallorquin bikes and you’ll see they do guided off road rides and tra...
Re: Mallorca
You can hire road and off road bikes from Mallorquin Bikes in Felanitx. They’re super friendly and always have great bikes and kit. We’ve done a few off road days with them and they’ve been fantastic.

Re: Hard shoulder penality
We were in stationary traffic due to an accident on the M50 a while back, just short of J3. After half an hour or so a steady stream of cars started going up the hard shoulder, obviously looking to get off at the junction. It took another half an hour to clear the accident and we were on our way - p...
Re: Navmii
Not tried that one but I have used Here WeGo for a few years. It lets you download individual country maps to use offline. I think it was originally developed by Nokia and then bought by BMW/Audi/Daimler. It’s free to download and the mapping is regularly updated.
Re: Scum !!!
Unfortunately its a regular sight on our (paved) lane. I’m generally first out in the mornings and have had to stop on a fair few occasions to move it to the side so everyone can get out. Last winter a load of garden clearance rubbish was left in the lane. Several neighbours reported it as an obstru...

Re: Oh FFS Tyres!!!!! [ big thumping trail bike]
I can recommend not fitting MC360’s. :D Put a set of mid hards on my 690 and they’re awful, the front especially. Even aired down to 10 psi the front washes out in corners on the lanes. So disconcerting it made me properly slow down on the Isle of Man. I’m going to try them on our local muddy lanes ...

Re: Cheaper Kriega Version-
I wonder what the quality is like at that price? I’ve got a couple of US5’s and a set over Overlanders. The Overlanders are perfect on the 690. Easy to put on and take off and 30 litres is more than enough space for me.

Re: TT 2019 practice week and trails
Nice one Dan. Went a couple years ago on the 950. It's great being able to get up to some of the corners on 'the mountain' via the trails and have them to yourself :D We did the mountain road quite a few times. Passed a few bikes on the knobblies but I got really frustrated that I could only get to...
