<snip> I found a tick on my ankle and I made a little tick remover from a loyalty card and used to totally fail to sort the tick out. I set off around 07:00 with its head still stuck in me. <snip>
You need to get that sorted asap - like, very urgently!!!!!!

Re: Parking Rant

The key to this is that the signage has to be clear, since it is that which prescribes the 'contract' which you enter into when you park. Definitely recommend googling around - there's plenty of good advice out there.

It's gone up a gear tonight. She moved into the guest house as she doesn't feel safe sharing a house with me. She did this at 5pm Just as guests were due, so they had to be sent away and it looks like the business is now on its arse. Might be worth documenting all of this in reasonable detail just ...

Re: French 80kmh limits

The problem is that the main policy response governments use to address road accidents is to lower speed limits. It's a dim-witted and simplistic response to a complex issue <snip> So true. But who wants better training, better (regular?) testing, thorough policing? It never ceases to amaze me how ...

Re: Asked not to put a bike in a car space at work

The thing for me in these situations is that people often react emotionally, which is completely understandable but often doesn't get them what they want. If you take a step back and ask yourself what do you want as an outcome, that will help shape whatever action you choose to take. The things you ...
