Buying a bike in Brazil
Recently come back from 11 weeks riding round Brazil. We bought 2 bikes and then sold them at the end. Much cheaper than shipping your own. All you need is a CPF. If you want help then contact me. With the CPF you can buy the bike with all correct documents and then ride it anywhere in South America...

I think I have only had crash bars fitted to one bike and I have done a great deal of touring on rough roads. The RTW bike never had any. I usually drop my bike a few times a trip!! If you have panniers they seem to take the rap...

Small works fine. We have just gone round some of Indonesia on small bikes 4500 kms. 225cc and 150cc yamahas. I had bought an ortlieb saddle bag set which worked very well and that and a bag across the bag served for 7 weeks

We have now sold the two Yamahas! Arrived in Lombok and started asking. We are actually finishing our trip in Bali but we thought it worth an ask. Result is they are sold. Feel bereft. We were fond of the two bikes. It has cost us about £300 each for the transport to ride for 6 weeks through Indones...

Thank you Simon and Polly. Freddy and I made it to Santander by hook and crook. We did cross from Sabada to Arguedas. Freddy did not fancy it until I could demonstrate on my phone that there really was a route across. He then enjoyed it immensely. Would not have enjoyed it in the wet...one very chal...
