Oh and if you use it in the "extended" 251t position it looks like you don't know how to pack for travelling!

To answer you questions: Its not water-proof as such, but it only lets a little bit of water in via the seams. When I used it in Canada/Alaska and on blast round Europe (all in the rain....) it just used a 15lt dry bag in the main compartment to make extra sure things were kept dry. I never had anyt...

If you are not a US citizen then you will require an L1 Visa to work for them Not the end of the world to get, just takes time and costs a lot of money for a 2 year work permit!).

I am still using a motorbike specific Garmin Quest and its been fine for over 50,000 miles and still going strong. My question to all the people using CAR based sat nav's - how do you power them?
