Re: Adv Spec Honda 450L

I see Dave Lomax from Adv Spec is out in Morocco right now exploring on a lightly loaded 450L with an IMS tank.
And he rode it all the way down too.
A couple of vids on their FB: https://www.facebook.com/pg/adventurespec/videos.
Will be interesting to see what he makes of it.

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

Yes plan to do all that over the hols, Nathan. Enjoyed your frank reviews. Will set aside a weekend to lower myself into the advrider thread. Will watch the gasket too. I take it it aint just loose headbolts? First owner was a fan of yours and has done the first 1000 miles for me. Feels very smooth ...

Him

Just picked mine up last night - as fresh and white as the snows of Annapurna.
Would feel more confident if it said 'Honda' on the tank, but it is what it is and ticks a lot of boxes.
Got a juicy desert mission lined up for later this winter.

Re: Mash 400 Adventure

Minky is up north? There's also a dealer in Keighley who rents Hims out for 80 quid a day. There must be some trails up there to try. Well worth it IMO. When I briefly test rode one the other month, it sure didn't feel anywhere near as heavy as claimed or my slightly lighter XSR Scrambler. CoG and t...

Re: Mash 400 Adventure

I was thinking like you, OB, and a couple of years back did a half-day on a Mash Roadster 400 . (There was no Mash Adv in the UK then). A proper 400cc ought to be just enough to get the job done without weighing a ton, but this thing had no more poke than my old CRF. Oddly enough it's still one of t...

Re: BMW G310GS in Morocco

Yes for that use I think I probably would over any trail bike of similar size.
More comfy, 19er front steers better, less suspension dip and bigger (if you are a tall person).
