Re: 2021 CRF300L Travel Bike, 17/19 TL + 21TL

Hi Andy, sorry for slow reply; I never get notifications from ABR despite ticking the box. My priority was to convert to tubeless, but as the stock rear 18 rim didn't have the necessary 'safety lips', I needed a new rim so thought I may as well try a 17 (lower bike; better TL tyre choice). Same on t...

Re: 2021 CRF300L Travel Bike, 17/19 TL + 21TL

Not really, considering the mileage and use. • Scuffs on the handguards, mostly from wheeling into hotel lobbies. • I see a scratch on the LHS gold bit of fork, probably from ferry / moving around tight spots? • I slid off once at 15kph; rear indicator pulled out; put back in. Tankside Lomo bags did...

Re: CFMoto 450MT (a 450 twin adv)

There was an Asia-Pacific? launch of the 450MT in the Philippines last month with a few video impressions now out.
This Ozzie one from a couple of days ago is good.

Re: Adventure Spec Linesman Jacket XL

I wish I hadn't sold my 2018 original in green.
New colours don't look so good.
But then again, didn't get on with the Linesman pants so much.

Re: On the Trail in Morocco: 310GS / CRF300L

Fast forward a few months and here I am a few days ago riding off the last piste onto the asphalt in Jebel Ougnat and logging Waypoint 1000. Nice Berber lady took a snap; her boy did a photobomb. (Didn't really get on with the Adv Spec Lineman pants, fyi. Full review on my www) https://adventuremoto...

Re: On the Trail in Morocco: 310GS / CRF300L

Me again. Took a 300L to Morocco in October and left it there till next spring. I see the new TRF mag has a comparison with the 300 and 310GS which I know well. Will have a read of that later. For the moment here are some pics of the last few months. https://adventuremotorcyclinghandbook.files.wordp...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

I like getting out into the wilds and I don’t mind how I do it, pedal, paddle, on foot or on moto. Plus there’s the ‘use it or lose’ element at my/our? age. Now more than ever you need to look after your own health and fitness. Not that much lifting on the GW but there sure are a lot of gates, as I ...

Re: Is this the future of UK trail biking?

The link in my OP is a report on a few days on the Glyndwr’s Way – a lateral ‘trans Cambrian’ and Britain’s least know national trail. I rented a top of the range full-sus Marin out of Hay (was all they had). New it costs same as a 300L ;-/ Once I got a handle on the range (45 miles road and trail i...
