Re: Wet weather trousers

I've just fitted a cool cover for that reason. Always get wet crotch with whatever I use. Currently using alpinestars. I was very surprised yesterday by the cooling effects when riding to work. Its shows that it must work though.

Re: Steering stem cracks

The horizontal marks? Looks like the previous owner or shop used a grinder to cut the bottom race to get it off and nicked the stem.

Re: Warning light issue and recovery/warranty bigger issue.

Just Google where the port is and plug the reader in! Once you know what it is you can decide whether to ride it or not.

Re: mousse can deflate?

I wouldn't add anything. If the combo or tyre and mousse is correct to start with and is looked after ie taken off and cleaned/lubed now and again they should last a couple of years. It's a massive weight off your mind when trail riding or racing. Once the tyre won't pop up onto rim and stay there a...

Re: mousse can deflate?

As a rule of thumb mousses and tyres should be 'matched' together not just in size but brand too. You are using a 100 which has a lot of volume compared to a 80 enduro. I remember using a mx tyre on my ktm and it would stretch enough at speed to rub on swingarm/mud flap compared to an enduro loop. W...

Re: mousse can deflate?

Mousses generally are designed for racing and they are not supposed to be used for: 1. Longish road rides at speed. 2. Being left in a tyre compressed. 3. Sitting on the floor inside a tyre. 4. Not getting lubricated regularly. Also worth noting is that they really do need to be matched carefully to...
