Re: Africa Twin for road riding only - opinions?

Adventure bikes on the road make a load of sence. Comfortable, nice and tall to see over cars, able to bounce over curbs and can handle the broken roads better than street bikes. Yep. That's been my thinking too. I just want one with a bit of 'fizz' to satisfy my red mist moments... Lol with...

Re: Dew Point In Simple Terms

I commute all year round too including early starts. A few rounds are not gritted so I fitted a ice warning LED that comes on at 3 reg c (orange) and then again (red) at zero. With heated jackets and muffs/heated grips it's sometimes hard to judge if it's getting to freezing point. I travel out of L...

Re: New Tenere 700

Brain Gray in high wycombe has a demo bike in stock. It's the white and red one. I must say the white/red is a lot nicer in the flesh than the blue one I've seen before. The blue looks odd but white is a nice mix. Red on rear looks orange in pics but it's a nice ducati red when seen live. Thought ab...

Re: Searching for Masters of Sand!

Full throttle in sand and hang on. You might find a steering damper helps. You can change ruts by bouncing your weight onto the bike and sort of hop out. It takes practice and commitment. That works in hard uk ruts. Of course you need to be standing up for all scenarios.

Re: Tesco's 10w-40 oil query

104k miles isnt too bad for my xt lol. Ok it's a low stress engine only used for commuting. I used this for a couple of changes when they did buy one get one free. They almost always have 45% off offers via emails. https://www.eurocarparts.com/ecp/p/car-accessories/engine-oils-and-car-fluids/engineo...

Re: Tesco's 10w-40 oil query

I've used cheap car oil in my xt660z once the mileage got high and I stopped worrying about it. 104k in and no clutch slip. Used car stuff in old gsxr too and no clutch slip 57k on clock.
