Re: Puncture repairs

I've also found the patches come off nowadays, so I carry spare tubes and just change them. If I was on a trip and didn't have access to another tube after changing I'd have a go at pat hing again just as a stop gap. Solo they seem ok but two up and at speed the weight causes more heat and they come...

Re: Lane Closed Due To Rave .

Seen raves on the Ridgeway before but been let through or guided through by one of them. Another time one of them jumped on back of bike for a ride through crowd. Never had any problems.

Re: eBikes next

I haven't used my mtb for a few years but when I did I had several incidences where walkers got the hump, one on a bridleway and two or three on footpaths or tracks on edge of field. On my own peddling slowly enjoying the sun and ended up getting moaned at walkers. Tried to explain that I was not do...

Re: ...the puncture cover up!

Ref the blocked valves debate. Not really had an issue with it. The goo tends to coat the whole inner tube and works by leaking out when a puncture happens. It has bits in that then clog up the hole. It will have gone down a bit but pump it up again and it should be good. When checking tyre pressure...

Re: ...the puncture cover up!

I use bicycle stuff in my tubeless road bicycle and I don't think it would be man enough. It's funny stuff as it goes tits up if you use a co2 cartridge. Also the bits in it are smaller. I used to use sealant a lot when trail riding before i moved to mousses. I bought large 1L bottles of the stuff i...

Re: 200,000 km on my GS 12

As mine is a single I therefore claim double mileage points! It's currently sitting at 101 000 miles so in twin terms that's 202 000 miles 😜😜😜
Well done on keeping the same bike and keeping it going.

Re: Asked not to put a bike in a car space at work

When our carpark got congested they changed the parking spaces closest to the entrance to 'car share' only. So pick up a colleague on the way to work and you get to park right near the door. Worked well.

Re: helmet removal at filling staions

And exactly how many bikes have burst into flames in the past? Not many I guess but if anyone can prove me wrong? I sit on my bike as the xt660z leans over a long way and I like to fill to the brim as it gives me another day use. Always try and use a pay at pump so I don't take helmet off. I'd just ...
