Re: Daily travel budget in Europe this year ?
I’d say it’s 100€ per day for me. I don’t use toll roads abroad. I travel with a mate, we never camp but we share a hotel room (single beds) we like a beer and an evening meal so the budget can creep up towards 150€ if we go a bit daft.

Re: The Yamaha Tenere thread
This was (Briefly) the future of the adventure bike bike market a few years ago.
It's good at what it does and it's reliable.......But For me, I'd sooner take a mobile library off road.
I'm glad Yamaha had a re-think.
But It's mine and a Tenere and I can post a picture on this thread!

Re: Triumph 1200 Bonneville Bobber - thoughts please
I was talking to a Triumph Tiger 800 rider a couple of days ago. He had a 1200 Bonneville as a loan bike whilst his bike was being serviced.
He didn't want to give it back!

Re: Cruiser riders
Us bikers are pretty diverse group of folk. The Harley riders probably regard Adventure Bike riders as Klim-clad-self righteous-Ewan-Charlie-Wannabes. All geared up to cross the world, whilst on a trip to a buttie van. Don't get me started on Streetfighter riders, Sports Bike riders, Enduro Riders, ...

Re: Tenere 700 Luggage. What are you using?
I'll be using these Viper by Moto soft panniers £34.99 a pair.....I've test fitted them to my Himalayan and they're rock solid.....I'd think they'll be waterproof as well, but I've not had chance to test them. The magnetic tank bay was £15.00.

Grip Puppies
My Yamaha Super 10 is an efficient mile-muncher....But I found the high frequency vibration through the bars was effecting my hands at motorway speeds. Now, I bought the bike for fast efficient two wheeled travel, I use the bike for general transport, so motorway work is an inevitability, the last t...

Re: Free camping/Beer/BBQ Rural Cheshire 30/May/2020
The goverment are due to make a statement on 28th May. There Could be a relaxation of the lock down rules. My kids have been giving me some grief about a load of old men drinking beer, eating burgers and camping here! I suppose we are at best stretching and bending the rules as they stand if we proc...

I respect your views.
In the last 6 months 3 people who I'd call friends have died. None had covid.
Shit happens.
