Rally Moto 500 events

May be I'm a bit thick, or I'm not navigating the Rally Moto site very well but can someone confirm.......
The 150kg limit.....All bikes must be over 150kg?
The 500 bit.....All bikes must be over 500cc?
Any other information would be appreciated

Re: Adventure bike options?

Cheers for all the info. Still keen on the 990 adventure r and the 660z,maybe I should just buy a cheap 660z, 690 or 990, keep the vfr and see how I get on and go from there. No doubt I will change my mind again 😂. Okay, I've had 990r, ktm690 and a 660z. In my opinion........ 990.....If you take it...

Re: Adventure bike options?

When you find the ideal all-purpose bike, please let us all know! I've had most of the bikes you've mentioned. I'd say don't focus on the negative on a particular bike, otherwise you'll never actually buy anything. The bike you choose will be a compromise, that'll mean for everything you ask it to d...

Re: Baby I’m Back!

Hi SteveW, Are there 2x different versions of the GS800, standard and Adventure models? Similar I'm sure but the Adv would have a larger fuel tank/range I'm guessing? Cheers macvisual Yes two versions....I've had both, probably the standard GS800 would be my choice unless you had to have 300 miles ...

Re: Baby I’m Back!

Steve , Herman has an S10 and he has thrown it around on the dirt a few times , nice bike They are a lump! I'm not sure I'd enjoy taking it beyond a gravel road! My limit on anything more gnarly is a GS800. I did a 350 mile round trip on it today, it's a really good mile muncher, defiantly in the s...

Re: Baby I’m Back!

I've done just 350 miles on it. The lights are very good....auxiliary lights with light bar, main beam is exceptional. The seat is stock, but I did three hours today and it was absolutely fine. Heavy but I'm getting used to it. Smooth.....no tingles through bars and pegs. I wouldn't want to take it ...

Baby I’m Back!

After a year without a bike I’ve just bought an S10. A couple of years ago I wouldn’t have considered one. But they’re good value second hand. The previous owner of my bike played Buckeroo with the accessories....hanging everything he could on the bike and sold it just before it bucked. All I’ve nee...

Panniers or Topbox? Or May be both?

I don't like panniers! The small soft type are okay, but I hate the vast increase of width you get when using solid panniers. I also think they are vulnerable to damage if you have a slow speed tip-over. I always ride day to day with a topbox.....tyre repair kit/pump/phone/tools etc... On a bigger t...

Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

It's pretty obvious CCM have abandoned the 600cc replacement for the GP450, I'd guess they got more hassle than they bargained for with the GP450. This type of bike will be ridden hard and tested on tough terrain by owners with high expectations. It's a good bike, it hit its intended target right in...
