Re: *%^**!!!

I believe there is a Watt hour (Wh) limit with lithium batteries on aeroplanes and all typical sized Ebike batteries are way over that. Re: Daily travel budget in Europe?

It all depends where you are.

In Spain for instance I can still keep the daily spend under £100 per day all in, but in northern European countries it is not always possible.

Plugging a Tuber Tyre ??

A few months ago I picked up an early low mileage Tiger 800XC as a N+1 / winter hack, the bike is my first tubed tired bike for a quite a while so I started looking into tubeless conversions. It seems well documented that converting a rim with a safety bead is fine but there is debate as to if a rim...

Re: Screens - I’m confused.

As others have said, the idea is to have some air coming under the screen to equalize the pressure behind. This is easier to achieve with adjustable brackets so the gap, height and angle can be changed. Also, bikes with narrow front sections often add side deflectors too. For instance a Tiger 800 ha...

DavidS wrote: Thu Nov 30, 2023 5:22 pm Moving it forward looks like a no as there are side fixings so it can’t really be moved.
Good idea though.
Make up some short plastic strips to move the fixing points for a trial, then if they work change to aluminium if needed.

Re: A photo you took, today

Taken yesterday, (poor wifi).

A last run up San Glorio from Potes, luggage off, half a tank of fuel, 28deg...brilliant.

Apologies for the obligatory deer shot doing a dump on the bike.

A few from NW Spain near Ponferrada on the LE126.

There were lots of quarrying going on, think Blaenau Ffestiniog on steroids with heat and no traffic.

Re: TAT

I did it solo in 2007, bought a DR650 on ebay usa in Virginia, had it titled in my name and sold it in California. Should have kept it really. In the US the DMV(Department of Motor Vehicles) rules vary from state to state so you need to do some homework re registering a vehicle and get conformation ...
