Re: a simple question for once

Worst ever bike I owned was a Norton Commando 750. A fairly new bike at the time but a total bag of shite. Constant failures all of them regarded as common at the time. Bike I should not have sold was a BMW R90/S back in 1979.

Re: Trusted Allies.

Turkey has a right to defend it's airspace. However a man who thinks only of his rights and fails in his duty is no man at all. The same with a nation. Turkey has disgraced itself. I agree with much of the original post. Well put other than I don't think the Turks will support the Kurds.

Re: The house of arrogance

This is probably the real reason Edward was presured by Churchill to abdicate, being a Nazi sympaphieser. Sorry but you couldn't be more wrong. Churchill was very loyal and supportive of King Edward VIII. The King was under pressure from the Prime Minister Baldwin and the Archbishop of Canterbury L...

Re: Greece is the word

Greece has a long tradition of being a political and economic basket case. I see little at the moment to suggest that is about to change.

Bloke seems to have had great ability to get it all wrong. Some folk raise that skill to an art form.

Re: Bike Corrosion - is it the manufacturer's or owner's fault ?

Common sense suggests poor quality. Look at the finish on a 40 year old BMW and compare it with a 5 year old one. Today's models have a cheap finish. That said a modern BMW is much cheaper to buy in real terms.

Re: I bought a box...er?

The only thing I wasn't expecting was to have to get on my hands and knees and assume the prayer to mecca position each time I want to check the oil level. Mike You won't have to do that very often. Unlike the K though you can get a false low oil reading if you don't park it on the side stand for 5...

Hard to think of a logical reason for this other than too lazy too work out the premium for something different. The UK's number 1 will find it starts to slip downhill with that attitude. All credit to Carol Nash for taking up the challenge.
