Re: yamaha xt660 panniers

I've just upgraded the Givi Trekker boxes and rack on my ten to a pair of Rogers excellent ARDcases and a Halon rack. Should have been a TTech rack but after a month of waiting, with little to no feedback on likely availability, we went with Halon.

The boxes are top quality and really well made ...

Re: Bike trailer

I've got a motolug single trailer.
It dismantles, folds up and fits in the boot of the car, but it's still strong enough to carry a GS.

Mine has done thousands of k's and it's still in good condition, nothing has ever failed, except the mud guards, which are a bit flimsy but easily fixed with a ...

Re: first motorcycle you ever rode

My mates malaguti 50cc mini dirt bike, we were still at primary so must have been under 10.

At 17 I was let loose on the roads on a Honda C70, in hammerite gold. I loved that thing, still fancy the idea of doing an adventure on one today.

Re: 660 Tenere Tacho Weirdness

Thanks for the steer and great tip Tim, I'll strip down the connector and do that this weekend.
I'm off to Morocco on in in May for its first proper adventure, with the rest of the fudoo.org gang, and I don't fancy having the same experience you did, new loom sounds expensive!

While I'm chatting ...

Re: 660 Tenere Tacho Weirdness

Cheers minky,

I'll check that out, the battery has been draining but I was putting that down to not having had a good charge since it came out of hibernation.

Maybe there is a bigger electrical problem that's giving this rather odd symptom.

It's going in for new knobblies at the end of the ...

660 Tenere Tacho Weirdness

Calling all ten rider...

Has anyone ever had any problems with the tacho on their ten?

Mine has gone a bit bonkers (2011 model 660z).

I've been doing some serious fettling for this years Sahara jaunt, one of which was to change the front cog from 15T to 14T, and what a difference that has ...
