I've replaced mine a couple of times with normal throttle-side grips.

I used a scalpel to cut almost through the old grip, and then carefully peeled them off.

Hairspray to fit the throttle side, and some sort of glue (can't remember what) on the clutch side.

However, they're a tad pricey and over the £100 limit for just that one item. What price comfort? I've been using the down mats for 7 years - started with a 7, then a 9 and now a 9 DLX. makes a huge difference, and their excellent thermal properties mean you can get away with a lighter sleeping bag.
