Another option maybe (don't know if flights/accom are already booked), I rented a dirt bike in lanzarote - and took the ferry over to fuerteventura one year, don't remember the company name but they were fine with me taking it on the ferry (30 min trip) and I remember they had a beta alp and a wr25...

I have the same bike as Minky but I haven't ridden it off road much yet so I can't comment on off-road use but I definitely know that it works on tarmac. Near my house is a junction where rubber/diesel gets left on the surface, when the road is wet I can quite easily lock up the rear wheel on my DR6...
