There is an argument for:- if you need to see where your front wheel is then you're too late avoid the obstacle ;), vinyl wrap it and raise your eye line.
I have two eyes, one is looking 20-30yds in front of me and one is looking at what's immediately in front :D

Don't do it Russ, nothing worse than not being able to see where your front wheel is when your off-roading .
