Re: Himalayan v 500 efit bullet

I doubt you will find many people who have owned both and used them long enough to give an answer. Maybe a test ride on both would be a better way to find out.

Re: Cameras in France

Well im vetting my number plates so once in france its onto the he vehicle just a slight alteration enough to be a mistake... The doddgy plate is from a scrapped vehicle so no one suffers... Those 80kmh speeds are crap as most vehicle gearboxes arent configured for that speed.. Isn't it more seriou...

Re: EU. In or out?

Nobody knows or has control of the future therefore they cannot predict the future. If they take a 'best guess' it is based on bits of information from various different sources, some of that information can be from personal experience but that is by no means 'all encompassing' and guarantees nothin...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I joined the Uk Himalayan facebook group long before buying mine and the concerns you mention ie lack of power and wind buffeting are on there. From memory there were a lot of comments about the engine being tight for the first 1k miles or so but a noticeable improvement from then on. The lack of po...

This valve clearance thing is a bit of a red herring.
It was a problem with the early crf250x from around 2004/5 when the valve neck stretched due to them being filled with sodium or something to keep the valves cool but this was corrected around 2006 and was no longer the problem.

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I had my first proper ride on the bike on Sunday (120 miles) sticking to A and B roads and really enjoyed it. The highest speed limit all day was 60mph which the Himalayan can maintain all day long, overtaking anything doing more than 50 takes a bit of planning but instead of riding at licence losin...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I took my 'new to me' Himalayan out for the first test ride today. First impression after 100 yards was "wtf ...... where is the power" but after 20 miles it's pinned in 4th through the twisties of a local B road and I'm grinning like a cheshire cat. Going from a V twin 1200 to 411cc single was alwa...
