Re: TRF Feedback.

Hi Stewie, sadly I didn't get to ride with you guys this year. By the time I came to join a ride on the Saturday (about 2pm), you were fully "booked". Unfortunately my girlfriend wanted to go for a road ride together on the Sunday so I had to make do with the on-site trail, which was great anyway an...

Re: Wanted: 600-800cc Road and Trails bike

I've got a Yamaha XT600E for £1000. Some cosmetic damage to the pointless plastic airscoops on the tank, but with spare cash you could get larger Acerbis tank. Brand new battery and nearly new trail tyres. All ready to go for summer but I want something smaller to chuck in back of campervan.

Does this mean we can ask for another Brexit referendum, cos 49% of the British population didn't like the result.

Re: USA and Canada

I'm considering a fairly big America trip with my Dad, who doesn't have the same biking experience or endurance as me, and came up with another option. Hire a car for long distance, boring bits. Then hire bikes for a couple of days at a time in interesting places. I think this is a good compromise f...

Re: Ferry v Tunnel

As Old Geezer has said, if anyone is looking for a bed and bike storage for the night in Folkestone just PM either of us.
I feel your pain about the journey too Folkestone as it took me 5hrs to get to the Midlands ABR Rally and about the same to return.

Box trailer would be a better bet, smaller, lighter, cheaper with no smell of horses. ... 3641.l6368

Re: XT600 leccy bleurgh

I'd suggest a new battery too! Sounds like just what happened with my XT600. All the lights worked but there was there wasn't enough oumph in the battery to start it. Once jump started from a booster-pack (never ever managed to bump start it) it would run fine, as long as i didn't stall. I changed t...

I don't know either area so happy whichever way.

Re: What road tyres to stick back on my Tiger

Hi Si, have a similar dilemma myself for my Explorer 1200 as I'm considering selling but need new tyres first. Avon Trailriders are currently top of my list after reading the review by "Earth-roamers"(25000km+ on one set) and my own previous experience with Avons in my road bike days. Also has the a...

Why not replace the strap with zipties, easier access to all buttons.
