Re: Electric Bikes... the Future?

I just received an email from my local dealer of Zero Motorcycles, The English Electric Motor Co. It looks like the price is coming down to be more in line with ICE motorcycles: 2019 NEW Stock Zero FXS 7.2 - £8,990 RRP Zero S 7.2 11kw w/charge tank - £11,490 RRP Zero S 14.4 - £12,190 RRP I have no ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I had a road test ride today as the demo at the ABR festival was purely round the track. It handled brilliantly through a good mix of 20mph town, rural b roads, fast a's & a bit of dual carriageway. I really enjoyed it......but some advice from them that have had it a while. The bike had 43 miles on...

A supervision Order is used for children! Amazing what you can get away with if you have a decent barrister

Re: eBikes next

Garyboy, reminds me of when I was a full time cyclist. I bought a hardtail & for me an insanely expensive Specialised. 10 mile journey wasn't a big deal but I nearly died doing it, I thought my heart would explode. 4 miles in I worked out the rear brake was locked :x

Re: Annual trawl of insurance.

I've had my CCM with BeMoto the last 3 years now, renewal has been cheaper each year. They do multi-bike & pretty sure most policy changes are FOC. They're well worth calling for a quote, they even answer the phone

I have different policy needs for different bikes so I don't do multi policy

Re: If Only Suzuki Would....?

Need to adjust the valves on DR350...you'll need a feeler-gauge and couple of spanners. You just need to take the rocker covers off. All done in 30 minutes while drinking a cup of tea. Same job on the Honda...strip the cam out, and get your micrometer and factory shim set out. Bugger about, put it ...

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I managed to get a demo on the Himalayan at the festival, I was very impressed. Only getting one lap around the trail I'm very interested in taking a road demo from somewhere. One could well replace my shagged CRF250 for the daily commute when it finally gives up. I was genuinely surprised at how we...

Re: Adventure bike festival

Really enjoyed the weekend, thank you ABR for putting it on. The track was worth the entrance fee alone :D If you're wanting constructive feedback I think only Yamaha weren't advance booking the demos, all the others seemed to be, but were still having you queue for fun :( The speakers were more pop...

Re: Tyres

I bought some Avon trail riders for my CCM SM wheels (mainly because that was all that was available in the right size). They are excellent. You won't want to actually trail ride on them, but wet / dry road fantastic & as long as it's not a mud fest, they will get you anywhere you fancy

Re: Four wheels on my scooter....

I think everybody missed it, that review is 4 years old. I haven't seen a single one in London. I find it bizarre that although it requires the road positioning, observation skills and cornering / braking techniques of a motorcycle, you'd need no prior motorcycling experience to ride one out the doo...
