Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I managed to get a demo on the Himalayan at the festival, I was very impressed. Only getting one lap around the trail I'm very interested in taking a road demo from somewhere. One could well replace my shagged CRF250 for the daily commute when it finally gives up. I was genuinely surprised at how we...

Re: Adventure bike festival

Really enjoyed the weekend, thank you ABR for putting it on. The track was worth the entrance fee alone :D If you're wanting constructive feedback I think only Yamaha weren't advance booking the demos, all the others seemed to be, but were still having you queue for fun :( The speakers were more pop...

Re: Tyres

I bought some Avon trail riders for my CCM SM wheels (mainly because that was all that was available in the right size). They are excellent. You won't want to actually trail ride on them, but wet / dry road fantastic & as long as it's not a mud fest, they will get you anywhere you fancy

Re: Four wheels on my scooter....

I think everybody missed it, that review is 4 years old. I haven't seen a single one in London. I find it bizarre that although it requires the road positioning, observation skills and cornering / braking techniques of a motorcycle, you'd need no prior motorcycling experience to ride one out the doo...

Re: Hammock advice

Frenchy has pretty much summed it up, plenty of youtube clips to get a good understanding of the different rigging options & what would be the best option for you. Until a couple of years ago I lived on a 48 acre farm with a decent bit of woodland. I loved taking a hammock up into the woods & spendi...

Re: In search of a good night sleep

I've just come back from a week away with my new partner who had no camping gear. I bought her the new Lomo mat & was very impressed when I had a lie down on it. For something that packs almost as small as my Thermarest neoair, it is significantly wider, (similar size to a self inflating mat) & surp...

Re: Brenhden's TET

Great RR Brenhden, I had a beer in Beer last summer for my birthday. Being August & after about 4 hours on the road in 30 degree heat, the sea still being chilly was perfect :D

Re: Go Big and Ride Small

Just got back from a proper test of my CBF125. I rode from Bristol up to Abergavenny then took the heads of valley road to Touratech. Didn’t buy anything as it seemed crazy prices then headed over the mountain to Llandovery then onto Builth Wells and back to Brecon via the ranges. Across to Monmout...
