Re: The next step....

I'm hoping the muscle memory is still there. I rode only bicycles until 13 years ago, when I moved from London to Surrey, but when I had to come back in most weekdays I bought my first motorbike. I used to happily commute a round trip of 35 miles along towpaths to college & would always cycle into c...

Re: The next step....

Thats exactly what I picked up today garyboy, except if you buy it from a Specialized store its £1800. I'm pleased, I haven't ridden a bicycle properly in about a decade, 8 mile journey back to work & I could still walk & talk  I'm going to potter with it for the rest of the week & if all goes ...

Re: The next step....

Thank you for the replies gents, Ive had a Pro Rockhopper for 14 years & it's been a solid piece of kit. I had a look at a Giant but it didn't appear to offer anything over the Levo apart from an extra £900. I would love the full suspension but I don't need it & it's considerably more expensive. It ...

Re: The next step....

Gents, value some input. My lil CRF has finally gone to bike heaven (needs an engine rebuild) and going to replace with an e bike. Theres a lot out there but not many shops I can get too. I have about £2000 to spend, Specialise Levo HT comes in at that price, it looks good on paper, has anyone got o...

Re: Electric Bikes... the Future?

Re: The Royal Enfield Himalayan ,great value.

I had a road test ride today as the demo at the ABR festival was purely round the track. It handled brilliantly through a good mix of 20mph town, rural b roads, fast a's & a bit of dual carriageway. I really enjoyed it......but some advice from them that have had it a while. The bike had 43 miles on...

A supervision Order is used for children! Amazing what you can get away with if you have a decent barrister

Re: eBikes next

Garyboy, reminds me of when I was a full time cyclist. I bought a hardtail & for me an insanely expensive Specialised. 10 mile journey wasn't a big deal but I nearly died doing it, I thought my heart would explode. 4 miles in I worked out the rear brake was locked :x

Re: Annual trawl of insurance.

I've had my CCM with BeMoto the last 3 years now, renewal has been cheaper each year. They do multi-bike & pretty sure most policy changes are FOC. They're well worth calling for a quote, they even answer the phone

I have different policy needs for different bikes so I don't do multi policy

Re: If Only Suzuki Would....?

Need to adjust the valves on DR350...you'll need a feeler-gauge and couple of spanners. You just need to take the rocker covers off. All done in 30 minutes while drinking a cup of tea. Same job on the Honda...strip the cam out, and get your micrometer and factory shim set out. Bugger about, put it ...
