Re: Dolomites

+1 for Corvara as a base. I rode down through Le Mans from Pompey, Bourgeois en Bresse to Annecy just south of Geneva. Chamonix, Sion and up the valley to Chur. Across to Davos and the into Italy at Malles (Mals). Probably not a classic route but very nice. Can I also recommend the Via Ferrata climb...

Re: route des cols

+1 for not doing St Malo to Carcassonne in one day!

I’d also tweak the trip or add a couple of days if you can to get at least a sniff at the Picos de Europa, an hour or so past San Sebastián.

Have a great trip.

Greetings gbags,

That is out of order, sorry to hear about your experiences. Take some comfort from the fact that you have many brothers on here.

Hugh.
That’s very nice Hugh, thanks.

Re: spooky internet

I get emails from my dead brother.

Pity really as I’d give anything to talk with him again.

Re: A photo you took, today

No. They are the wrong shape and my daughter’s a lacrosstitute so she’d have spotted it.

3B1E6DBC-EE1D-4346-9D2E-CB8248ECE206.jpeg Out on the pedal bike yesterday and I saw this in a university sports field. There were rugby posts, football posts and these. They’re clearly well made, yet they’re weirdly shaped and facing away from each other. Earthbound Quidditch goals? Nope, said my d...

Re: Speedshop

As far as I know there isn't any more episodes ☹️ It looks as though the snooker is on next Sunday so, maybe the series will continue the following weekend? There is no series as yet. They commissioned one episode to see how it went and if enough people like it I’m sure there’ll make a series. Like...

Re: Bike Down

Thanks Gang,

I haven’t run it up yet as it was pouring with rain today in Exeter and I can’t tomorrow either, but I’ll give it a run to warm it up properly and then let it sit for five minutes and scope it.

Never park up a boxer on the side stand for more than an hour

They don't like it
Really?
My bike spends its whole life on the side stand, especially when it has a full tank.
