Re: value for money ..this little bike is hard to beat

I've got one too and really rate it for a "real world" adventure bike. I've recently added a rear rack and intend to fabricate some pannier arms from the rack and then mount to the rear peg brackets. Currently trying to justify to myself the price of Adventure spec Magadan panniers.... Oh ...

I've done it myself now, that's £100 odd quid for petrol then.

Cheers for the info.

Re: Anybody off to the ADV Scotland meet?

I'm heading up from Stirling, been getting a few jobs done on my CRF250l tonight to go on.

It's a stunning area, looking forward to getting out camping anyway.

Need to figure out a good route to take.

Re: CRF 250L First service question

All good info thanks. It's a late 2012 bike, I was thinking of the mileage covered and if the first service is included with the bike. No problems to service it myself, not too worried about warranty as it's out now anyway. I'll be keeping a little book with service info and receipts for the next ow...

Re: CRF 250L First service question

Thanks that's cool, I'll have a look for some suitable oil and filters.

That's a pisser about the bike going missing, I've been a bit worried about that myself. Found myself looking at locks today..

CRF 250L First service question

So I've just bought a 2012 reg CRF250L (private sale) with 430 miles on the clock. Now regarding the first 500 mile service, is this covered by Honda, or do I need to pay for it myself? Probably a stupid question, but I can't check with Honda just now as they are closed. What a fine little bike it i...

Re: Starting work offshore..

Some good advice in the previous posts, my advice is go for it, save your money, try not to radically change your current lifestyle, and don't drink every night of the week when your home

Try and get on boats in a bid to save on some/all helicopter transfers.

Re: My take on the rally and a few pics

Nice pics Jim, we had a rock night to attend on the Saturday night so we went home early.

Hope to bump into Fiona and yourself again sometime.
