London, unsafe and getting worse.
As a member of The UK Motorcycle Theft Protest group on Facebook we're seeing an increase in GS's being targeted (https://www.facebook.com/groups/ukmtp/), 3 GSA's in the last week and a round the world riders bike nicked then dumped smashed up in the last month, then tonight there was this in the BM...

Re: New Edition
Having spent the afternoon resoling my road boots (and adding 25mm lift to one so I don't walk in a circle) read it in the bath.
I do hope those going to the London show ride in groups and take turns to keep their bikes safe, things are getting out of hand in Londonistan.

Re: Schuberth C3 basic.
Yup, on my second one, damaged the first in an oil slick fall, comfortable and reasonably quiet. The C3 Pro and E1 use the same shell and I don't find either as comfortable as the C3 shell.

Re: Sneaky Speed Cameras
Unfortunately marked bike's get hit all too often as well, even with full on lights and noise... The unmarked RPU bike riders have different priorities, mobile using drivers and speeding bikers are somewhat different to CID follow jobs, note the plate verbally/on camera and back off if it's getting ...

Re: Which Cam ?
I use Veho cam's, Atom inside the visor for commuting, slightly bigger one on the chin vent for some ride-outs, and a larger full HD in a waterproof case on the bike/bars too.

Re: Sneaky Speed Cameras
His riding an unmarked Police Bike had nothing to do with Traffic Enforcement or even Emergency Response. You are way off the mark there fella. Steve was a Hampshire Major Investigation Team member, may he rest in peace. http://www.coveritlive.com/index.php?option=com_altcaster&task=siteviewalt...

Re: Why So Many BMW's for sale
Perhaps as postulated it's end of warranty, time for an upgrade, it's done a high mileage (20k) or 'I want the latest version with the newer engine', either way it keeps the market fed with useful tourers...

Re: NEW F700GS and F800GS
Yup, they wouldn't supply it on lowered F650GS's either, didn't stop me fitting one!
<--- As you can see!
And now running 15/47 gearing, cruising at 55-60mph its returning 70 plus mpg, better than before at that speed, and even better around town.

Re: NEW F700GS and F800GS
Lowering the F650GS gearing for the F700GS is 'robbing Peter to pay Paul', you get lower bottom ratios at the expense of also lower top ratios. In an ideal world both variants would have a first gear quite a bit lower than the F800GS and a top gear a bit higher than the F650GS. I'd love a lower 1st...
