Re: Stop'n'go tyre plugger
cheers fellas, no horror stories so as it was a clean small pozidrive screwhole and the mushroom has taken well (no air loss in 3 days, after a few rides) and the tyre is 3/4 worn anyway, and will only be used on road, it'll be lived with.

Stop'n'go tyre plugger
Firstly merry christmas everyone!
Secondly, I had to use my stop'n'go tyre plugger kit (rubber mushroom type) for the first time tonight, worked well and got home fine.
What's the consensus of opinion, is it happy days permenently or a new tyre quick? @

A clever fix for a problem that doesn't really exist? A bit like the cucumber cap.

Re: Last thing you bought because it was cheap, but didn't need.
A brand new OEM showa rear shock for my last bike, because it was only £100.
I bought it as a spare then got rid of the bike before I needed to fit it, luckily the new bike has the same part! So in years to come I can rest easy knowing I still have a spare

Re: Well can we be tempted by electric??
A few years ago I would've bought a Vectrix electric scooter thingy, 60mph, decent range, it would've been perfect for my commute during the week but it was £8k, which was more than a base 1150GS at the time.

Re: Boots for the larger foot
stay away from Forma Adventure boots then, i love them they are very comfortable and fit well (i have big wide feet) but they are what you said, a road boot made offroad style (dare i say just like most "adventure bikes? lol) they wouldnt give you the protection youre looking for
