The only thing I really struggle with is boots, the fitting around the calf muscle.
I'm not big not by any means but I do have strong legs with all the walking and riding I do.

Just to add a little more to the fabulous post by Mad Cow above, dont grip the handlebar too tight and ride with just two fingers covering the levers. Thats all the pressure you need and make sure you slightly lean forward over the bars .... if the back wheel skids out you can adjust the your balanc...
