Re: Lands End Trial Easter Saturday 2023
Well...this year I'm not navigating a car, so I thought I'd try on two wheels. I've chickened-out of doing the complete trial...getting to grips with the navigation (on a motorcycle) and doing the sections at night didn't really appeal. But you can do the daytime section of the trial, starting at t...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
Finally, the skid plate is mounted folks. I think it gives a bit of cooling improvement at speed thanks to the aero effect under the engine and low pressure behind pulling air through the radiator because in spite of higher temperatures in the UK this week, the gauge stays low until I sit at lights ...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
So before the trip I did the following: - Mirrors incl indicators - spot lights off indicator mounts - Seat reshape, gel pad and raised foam (not so successful, the base is just the wrong shape for my large frame, but more to come) - custom full SS header pipe and standard 52mmslip on silencer fitme...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
Wow, well I guess it's later... And I'm just seeing how many mods happened before the trip last year that I didn't post. So here's a few photos then I'll skim through the mods and on to the latest and pending mods to the bike. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220621/4e10fd7bf806f83a81eb2ca5fd8f988...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
I've realised that I haven't posted a bunch of mods I rushed through before the Portugal trip so I'll dig out the photos and post those later.

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
So you took it across Spain. Tell us more about running out of petrol. What’s the range at the moment? What did you have to do? [emoji106] I had to ride to Portugal last June because the ferries weren't running yet. It was tough, not the fastest machine and it's only got a 14l tank and iffy fuel le...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
Well that sucks, I've been so lax updating this and barely used the bike. Probably modified it more than ridden and that's hardly saying much. But did a bit of custom work to fit bar end hand guards to a new set of MX handlebars. https://uploads.tapatalk-cdn.com/20220507/48c930079c8806383d5ccf9051b7...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
Thanks folks. Well this was only 2 half days rather than a day a week if I had a warm place to work... But good progress I suppose. I'm tempted to try make the exhaust myself but I'd prefer a perfectly formed header tucked up tight which is struggle to do without a pipe bender and a decent enough on...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
And like I said, bumper weekend... I also started work on the skid plate. It's coming together great although sadly as suspected I cannot fully fit it as desired with the stock exhaust in place. The header hangs low down and had a massive clamp in the way... But first, taking the CAD template from t...

Re: Quadro4 - NOT a quad...
So hello again. It's been slow going through winter with no warm dry place to work on my bike but I had a bumper weekend. Firstly I measured up, customised and fitted a Suzuki AN400 CVT transmission assembly including aftermarket Malossi performance Vario and secondary spring. The rear pulley and cl...
