You will love it! We found Iceland pretty damn cheap actually. Meat and beer can be expensive, but if you can ration yourself off them for your stay it's easy on a budget. Urgh.. first week back at work after a long break is always a struggle. I carried a pannier full of fleeces and base layers to Iceland only for it to be sunny and 22 degrees! Managed to suspend my sense of optimism for all of about 20 minutes and then sat through the rest of the film disappointed. Not even on par with Event Horizon, nevermind Alien.

Could have used this in Morocco when "can you clean my chain?" translated into a 20 minute scrub, rinse, chammy, polish, chain lube, before the bikes disappearing into a cloud of some kind of AC50 type stuff ...

38 days, 3 hours, 35 minutes, at least 5 repacks, 6 hours route planning, 3 DIY bike services and a 7.5 ton truck delivery of ration packs .. until we leave for Iceland via Denmark.
