Booked in November for a trip in September this year, bike, cabin for two return, £320. It’s a case of needs must this year, but I would normally ride to Dover, overnight in a Travel lodge or similar and then ferry. Works out a whole load cheaper

Nope, never ever. Been really lucky I guess, bike is always stored in the 'tin shed' when not in use, always disc locked when parked away from home. Even abroad, never been touched. Is that a GS thing? Maybe it's just to damned ugly :whistle:

Ferry never is. We ride to Dover, overnight, ferry across and still find it cheaper than DFDS. We are coming home with them after our hols, but that's cos 20 minutes after docking we are home and can get turned around ready to go back to work. Single still works out to £204 quids. hmy:

We are planning on leaving via Dover Tuesday 2nd and having a journey down, maybe via Munich. We have a hotel booked in Garmish Thurs - Mon Morning before heading up to Harz Mountains on the way home.
