Re: One bike to do everything...

I will second that, I have just purchased a pre reg 1190 standard from Teasdale Motorcycles Thirsk, he still has one. The 1190 is excellent value now with luggage and that engine will certainly stir the juices.

Re: It's here.

Just think about that roaring wood burning stove and a glass of very nice red wine, thats just what we are doing.

Thanks for the cup of tea last sunday with you both.

Re: What a pressie.

If you are still interested in the Stove when you get moved in give me a call and I will get mine cleaned up and you can have a ride over to check it out. The model is an Island 2 made on the Isle of White if my memory is right.

The Druids area sounds very interesting !

Re: What a pressie.

Well done Dave, if you need a multi fuel stove I have a Charnwood for sale. I replaced it with a larger one that could fit a tree stump in it to warm our frozen place a bit more.
We also have an old Aga and converted it to Kero years ago you will love it.

Cheers,
Graeme. (Masham)

Re: I'll never buy Rukka again.

Dave, Have a look at the Klim range, I have tried on a few of their jackets and they are very well made with excellent armour. The bit I liked about the jacket is the velcro kidney belt which lifts the weight off your shoulders when standing on the pegs. In build chest armour. I think they have just...

Re: Gloves - in or out

BMW winter double cuff gloves with the water proof part going under the sleeve and the outer has a zip to go over the sleeve to stop the wind. The knack is fold down the outer, pull the gloves on as usual, close the jacket sleeve then pull up the outer part of the glove, zip and go. After a couple o...

Re: Squires

Well said Coyotedave, in fact I met you there a few years ago and lately through the ABR. I also have been to the Ace and many others but Squires is relaxed with a fantastic eclectic bike gathering on most sunny days and evenings along with all the other events. What better place to meet, and what a...
