Re: Stonehenge.........Grrr

The problem of byway 12 can't be separated from closure of a section of M344.

Sorry I would not use either France or (especially) Italy as example of how to manage heritage. I am not always a fan of English Heritage but given the ...

Re: Stonehenge.........Grrr

A number threads have come out of this thread (I will ignore the David Cameron and Christian minority bit)
1)There have been several plans regarding how to manage visitor numbers - even the relatively small numbers back in the 1970's produced a range of problems. Given that this is an iconic ...

Re: Petrol stoves, are they worth the hassle?

Re: High Winds

Bike blew over today - my friend and neighbor picked it up, two mature trees blew down at work (nobody hurt) and have lost roof slates. But could be a lot worse so not complaining

Re: BMW R80RT OR HONDA DEAUVILLE

Pains me to say this but 1985 is a bit old unless you have time for nut and bolt strip down. If I could buy a new airhead better than the abject crap produced by BM since.....You lot do seem to have been conned by the manufacturers over complicating and under engineering their bikes. Never did like ...

Re: The bike from the man who invented panniers

So he is the man we can blame for the ubiquitous suitcase style panniers - my latest bike has them and I forgot how much I hate them

Re: plz recommend me a camera

Lumix is a great camera - I have used mine sea kayaking, snorkeling (waterproof!) and for general outdoors in all weathers. Has fully protected Leica lens (lens quality is the key to any camera) Have had mine for a few years now - so I know they are good. Not done much video so can't really comment ...

Re: the best bike you have owned and why?

R80ST a bike that always did what I needed it to - took me all over Britain and continental Europe in the 1980's. Bought new at massively reduced price because at the time they were not selling. The only negatives were a seat like a brick (I was an early adopter of the sheep skin for touring) and ...
