Try a Mefo Super Explorer, it'll outlast most tyres, and is good for a balance of road and off road. No good in deep mud but what dual sport tyre is? It's entirely possible that Touratech have strengthened the design since this experience, but I was riding with a buddy in Mongolia and the repeated jolts snapped that lower bottle support 'shelf'. I've used the forcefield knee protectors for overlanding, enduro's and also just used them for the Tuared desert rally.
