I think Honda has got the look of this bike spot on - much nicer than the old ATs IMHO. It looks more like the old XLV 750, one of which I had for a couple of years - trouble unfortunately. First bike I would consider swapping my 1100gs for and I've had that for 18 years. Enoy it, I'm sure you will...

the AT/CRF1000 motor is very similar to the S10, ( well 270degree parallel Twin)

So Yamaha have the engine sorted :-), and they have a cracking Dakar history to draw on

I went for the 900 as I like to be toasty Paul :-) Used in the cold Galloway Forrest trip a few years ago, frost on the tent , minus something packs small, weights little too, I have silk liner , but not used that. Combines well with an exped mat, great combination... If I am hot.. just open the zip...
