Re: A happy thought for all the Welsh bikers

The national lockdown has one advantage over the previous local restriction whereby we couldn't leave our local authority area; at least now we can enter local authority areas whilst exercising ( all good as I can now 'exercise' out of area on my ebike )

Re: CCM GP 450......was it any good?

I got rid of mine once I lost faith in it's reliability. Sadly, as has been mentioned, instead of persevering with the concept of a low, light Adventure Bike and sorting out the issues , the company went off in a totally different direction 'a la poseur, hipster ' market.

Re: Bikers ain't what they used to be.

A very dark , damp November night and the CCM ran out of petrol ( no reserve and when the warning light comes on you've got between 0 and 50 miles left ( depending what mood it's in) and no fuel gauge! ). Re: Claerwen Reservoir Trail

The local police were requested to spend a day 'enforcing' that 100 metre non-Byway portion. They were not best pleased, having more important things to do but it shows the clout that the Elan Valley Trust has. As mentioned, the farmer doesn't give two hoots as long as people slow down, leave the ga...

Re: Wales campsites info please

There is a very quiet campsite near the Llyn Brianne Reservoir . It's about a 20 minute drive from Llandovery just after the village of Rhandirmwyn ( which had a lovely pub). You'll be very near Abergwesyn Pass ( the Devil's Staircse), Strata Florida and even the West Wales Coast, which is under an ...

Re: Advice sought

A lot of it is about where you ride ( the type of roads). These days I am finding I'm avoiding the A roads to avoid the idiots on two wheels and four. A percent day for me is to ride the unclassified back roads where I hardly see a bike or car all day. Much more relaxing and less stressful. I can st...

Hi Paul
You never tell your wife where you are going even when you disappear for a month
Only because I don't know where I'm going Steve; heading East could be anywhere!
