Re: Dew Point In Simple Terms
I just look at weather trends and temperatures, then half my chances as I live in wales. :D I've got riding jeans and normal jeans hanging together in the bedroom. My usual trick is to look out window as soon as I get up then decide which jeans to grab. I just wondered if there was a more scientifi...

Dew Point In Simple Terms
I'm trying to understand dew points but from a certain point of view. I understand how dew points work......sort of......but here is my thinking and what I am trying to understand. If air temperature is going to be say 5c and the dew point is say 8c and assuming no rain forecast will the road be dry...

Re: Aux Lights No Worky!
Thanks for the replies but it would appear I have been a bit silly! There is in fact a small rocker type switch on the bars that I totally missed. They still dont work so guessing a corroded terminal somewhere as the fuse and bulbs are all good. Possibly the switch itself.

Aux Lights No Worky!
I'm OK on the tools so sure I'll be able to figure this out myself but in the hope of saving myself some hours. Can anyone shed any light on: 1. why my aux Lights might not be working 2. How would they work normally. I cannot see a seperate switch for them. Excuse the number 2 noob question but they...

Re: How To Section Links
I'm an IT specialist in a particularly sensitive job. I'd like to think I know what 'favorites' are, thank you. It was just a question - not a figment of my own laziness. The page loads a number of articles at a time so one button click does not equal all articles. Several button clicks eventually g...

How To Section Links
BIt random but I love reading through the 'How To' section of the website here https://www.adventurebikerider.com/category/how-to/ However, having to click on the Load More button and waiting for page to refresh to get to bottom of the list is quite annoying if you want to start reading from the bot...

Re: Cast Wheels F650 GS
I've got a 650 Twin, mainly for commuting, but do the odd lane too. For what you want, it should be fine - mine is in it's element blatting round Salisbury Plain - just look ahead & remember how heavy it is. I can't afford to sink it in a bottomless pit or shatter something as I need it for get...

Re: Cast Wheels F650 GS
For the most part all the replies seem to suggest same issues as with 4x4's re damaging an alloy and not being able to bash it back into shape easily. Lowering pressures when needed but finding the balance between getting it right and not splitting the bead. I've been using alloys probably for the p...
