Re: Anyone else get upper leg pain when "paddling" through awkward off rd sections?
yep, I had hip surgery in 2012 (at the age of 32) and these sections with deep ruts where you cannot keep your feet on the pegs extremely painful. I have to stop every 20 meters or so because the cramp makes me double up in pain. The muscle that usually causes the problem is the Psoas.

I've also sent a private message this morning. Gone in to look this afternoon and it is still in the outbox, not the sent messages, and there is no button to resend

Spotted......
Dunno if there is already a 'spotted' thread, but I saw some stickers on a chappie, F800GS, Orange, in Brandon, Suffolk this morning, in the pee-ing rain. Are you the same F800GS I see around Newmarket quite a bit>?

Re: Shipping bikes - HOW MUCH!!!!
ask for a LCL price, LCL is 'less than container load'. It means you will need to get your bike crated up. That way you can ask all sorts of shippers rather than a specialist bike shipper. You will have to factor in a courier getting the crated bike to the container.

Re: Help, need a number plate
yep, willl try and find the exact thread, but a couple of traffic cops on another national bike forum said there was nothing techincally illegal with the new trend for people having german stylee metal pressed plates, as long as the type face was legit.
