Great idea. You can also use what is called a Nilos seal below the bottom taper roller bearing which does a better job of sealing than the original washer. I took mine apart and drilled the headstock of the frame tapped it M6 and put in a grease nipple so i could fill the void with good quality mar...

Mine has done 23000kms issue free. The lower steering head bearing is vulnerable to water ingress, especially during washing or riding in heavy rain. I recently rode with a hymalyan on salisbury plain... His suspension was soft and it kept getting stuck bottoming out... But maybe with springs for his weight and a slower pace it would have been better... Park your ass ona few and test ride then you'll find what you want nearly.. Then set it up as...

I second the RE Himalayan. Done 23 000 kms on mine on different terrain.. It is one of those bikes where you have to do something stupid to get in trouble. It will be more comfortable than a CRF250 and being a torquey motor will just stractor thru pretty much anything. It will be excellent for green...

I have had 2 5liter ones on my front bars but found at 100kph/65mph my fuel consumption went up exactly 10liters over the same distance due to increased wind resistance.
