The strange noise is vibration between the headlamp rim and the shell ... lots of them have it ... I put 2 layers of electrical tape between the rim and shell and it has gone forever ... My number 1 tip .... get some mirror extenders from Amazon ..... all the wind buffet disappears ... This is mine ...
