Re: Shoei GT Air Condensation

Maybe of help to you guys with condensation issues... The Pinlock is adjustable! I just shelled out for a GT Air 2. Took it home, fitted the Sena SRL2 and went for a ride... About 20 minutes into the ride, I noticed the visor/ pinlock was misting up, blow my left eye! Not happy, not happy at all. Af...

Nexx X Wed II

Just bought the Nexx X Wed II lid and it has integration option for their X Com system, which I believe is basically a Sena unit.

It is a 3.0 BT, so is already behind the current 4.1 systems available.
Is it any good, or should I go for Sena 20/ 30, etc...

Re: Mid layer...

Cheers guys, plenty of food for thought.

I appreciate that the zips are the weak point, so will bear that in mind.
Probably go for a quarter zip fleece and the gillet, to mix/ match as conditions dictate...

Mid layer...

I'm shopping for an alternative mid layer, for under my jacket. Recently bought the Oxford Mondial suit and although it seems very good (so far), I did feel a bit of a chill recently, across my chest in around 8*C. I doubt this is helped by the fact that the liner doesn't actually fasten, so there's...

Re: Oford Mondial laminated suit

Okay, so I bought the Mondial suit. Everything seemed good with the suit, as I'm not used to textile trousers, but I felt that an adjuster, just below the knee would be a good idea. Something to nip up the loose bit of material, to help hold the knee protection in place. I know that Klim have this o...

Re: Oford Mondial laminated suit

I don't know Hoppert, I thought there'd been some really good feedback on this thread from those who've bought it. Ultimately it's a £250 jacket so you're not going to get the performance of a £800 Klim. As I said in that video I did, I wouldn't deter people from buying it because in the context of...

Re: Oford Mondial laminated suit

Bummer!... Bit disappointed to see this post now, as I was pretty much set on buying the Mondial suit, next week! I have seen the TMF vlog and thought it would be good for me, as a newbie to the ADV scene, without being extortionately priced (on top of new 1250GS!) I understand you get what you pay ...

Re: Help find an alternative to my Gixer!

If your budget is healthy you'll find pretty much all options within the Klim range....Leatt do some good armour. Gaz at Adventure Bike Warehouse would be useful to talk to about options. Just a base layer with motocross-style armour in the heat.......layer up and top-off with lighter waterproof ja...

Re: Help find an alternative to my Gixer!

I use my Klim Badlands for day rides especially in cooler weather. However, it's very heavy and although it's well vented and has decent air-flow through it whilst you're riding at a decent pace, you'll overheat wearing it if you want to have a look around at something off the bike whilst you're tr...

Re: Help find an alternative to my Gixer!

Klim works for me. The Pro Shell Badlands suit is excellent. I think so anyway. I'm liking the Badlands suit, but I need the 'short' trousers. Very impressive technical suit. I tried a few on today. Weird how some Klim are sized as S, M, L, etc and others are in the euro sizing, 50, 52, 54, etc... ...
