Thanks guys, Been a pretty nasty break with tendon and nerve damage, but i am very thankful it was not much worse. Thanks for interest folks.

Think I have options for getting the bike home, but much less urgent now.

Had a few days in hospital with lots of metalwork installed. With nerve damage it looks like a good while before I’ll be back on the road.

My recent experience of main BMW Dealer (Belfast) is my first, and it has been very positive so far. They found earth issues and wiring problems and sorted for the spotlights for free and then gave me the information from the computer to highlight what I already knew that the heated grips were fault...

Brilliant. I am hoping to do similar mileage with my 1200GSA but think I will need to learn a lot of new skills and be braver to tackle the work you have had to.
