Re: Returning rider can it be done?

Thank you for the feedback, went online for quotes and the only insurer who would quote me on a GSA wants nearly 3 grand… ouch. The bikes that seem to be more affordable for insurance are the middle weight adventure bikes and postcode makes a huge difference tot he quote so I might look for an alte...

Lands End/Cornwall Trial 100th edition

Anyone doing this this year? The three Simpson brothers (me, Mike and Ben) have entered the Cornwall (daytime) trial. A bit disappointed that about six sections have been cut from the daytime route...about halving the number of sections from when I rode it last year. I hope this is just down to weat...

Re: Returning rider can it be done?

I sometimes write about insurance for my day job... In commercial insurance for fleets, insurers are often prepared to take on a perceived high risk (a young driver in a truck) if the risk is diluted with 'safer' drivers. If you run a car, you could consider approaching Carole Nash, who do a 'six-wh...

Re: A photo you took, today

You'll probably know what your doing far better than me, but just a cautionary word - I think you'll need to protect and perfectly align the springs inside the down tubes. My Greeves has pretty much the same set up. Soon as the weather warms up, I'll be needing to strip and un-seize the springs.......

Re: A photo you took, today

They will have to be pressed out...a bit like car suspension bushes, I guess.

Re: Go Big and Ride Small

I think with these bikes when they say 'designed in Italy' they actually mean 'styled in Italy'

They are, as they say, cheap for a reason.

Re: Edinburgh Trial - Corkscrew Jenkins Chapel.

Thanks Hugh,

Would have posted myself, but I've been off the forum for a while because I've had computer issues.

I'd be there myself if I wasn't so far away.

All the best

Richard

Re: It's 1971 again!

I had a 1971 BSA B25 ...the bike that inspired the new BSA.

I set my wellington boot alight on the exhaust...it's all part of the authentic experience.

Re: It's 1971 again!

I had a 1971 BSA B25 Gold Star...which that new BSA is cosmetically inspired by.

I set my wellington boot on fire on the exhaust...so it's all part of the authentic experience.
