Re: Refused fuel..!!

I Regularly fill up 4x20L Jerrys at a time and once or twice have filled a 150 litre drum in the back of my truck (had of course to put the handle back at 100litre and start again), it all depends on the station (I find those with low paid foreign staff to be particularly helpfull :D )

Re: BMW F800GS rear bearing failure

Sorry If I'm seeing it wrong, but that rusty ring...it's not the retaining circlip left in ....is it?

P.S. if you get really stuck with it and need a hand, PM me there are a couple of things that would probably work and IIRC I am close enough to you

Re: Forks and bolts ...

I'm just going to throw a spanner in the works here . You know the part of the forks you have helicoiled, is it the first bit or the second bit after the split that the bolt goes into. The helicoil should be in the deeper part beyond the split , not the first close to where the head of the bolt goe...

Re: Forks and bolts ...

The tool that TreadTrader showed should work, I was in a similar situation recently and made a tool using a small socket which I cut and dremelled to fit the 2 flutes of the embedded tap, it took me about half an hour to make as it's fiddly working at that small size, but worth it
