Not sure what happened. It just spat me off and lay down. Luckily they're easier to pick up than you'd think. No harm done.

Re: Jane Daniels Dakar 2024

Awesome rider and tough as they come. 2 time world ladies Enduro champion and ISDE winner. This year's Dakar was a tough one, both navigation and terrain. She admitted it was much harder than she expected, but just quietly dug in and got on with it, no fuss, no drama. Such an example of how to succe...

Yep, don't believe the Kove weight either 😁.

Both they and CF moto are at least attempting the holy grail of a lightweight twin cylinder adventure bike. A mini-790R, if you will.

Hard to believe that 175kg weight figure is correct - 25kg below a CB500x, or just 5kg above the unfaired Triumph 400 single.

Maybe dry, without luggage, tank and tyres filled with Helium...

Re: Insurance for Albania and Montenegro

You can buy both at the border crossings (20EUR or so for 14 days).

The certificates look very impressive, but I doubt that the cover they provide would be!

Re: Balkan Motorcycle Insurance

I had no trouble at some pretty minor Balkancrossings earlier this year. Easy and friendly to buy at the border. (At larger borders there iwas even a choice of providers but as they are all the same price it doesn't matter!) You can buy upfront from an Austrian company , SIGAL, online, but need to k...

No guarantee though - even the Brazilian, Bolivian and Colombian mens teams had riders pull out yesterday because of the extreme heat.

Re: ISDE 2023 Argentina

Let's hope Nieve Holmes and Libby Tett have better luck. Gutted for Em, she will NOT be happy!! 4 of the 8 women's teams lost a rider with heat stroke yesterday. It's 42deg out there.

Early days but the men are lying 2nd after day 1.
