(thumbs) (thumbs) Awesome day, never seen so many bikes out despite the cold and also so many people lining the route. Lets hope the local authority see sense.

I have been in the heating industry for nearly 40 years and would tend to agree with Hoggyf, in that the expansion vessel is shot. A tell tale sign would be signs that the pressure safety valve has been leaking- there should be an open copper pipe at low level outside, tie a clear plastic bag to it ...

Unfortunately due to work we won't be there til Friday. Sam, Linda & myself have volunteered this year but can't remember what for ( it's an age thing) , I assume we'll find out when we get there. If anyone needs to know more about local amenities we should be able to help as we live in Castle D...

Booked in and counting down the days, need to start prepping mine and the wifes bikes for the momentous journey to this event (we live 2 miles away- max). Looks like the seat she has is standard, compared to the eBay pic. Will give that a try first.

Has anyone had any experience with lowering a F650GS 04 twin spark? Just taken the wife on her first major trip to France on her own bike, the aforementioned 650GS and found we need to lower the bike by around an inch to give her more confidence when coming to a stop (new clutch lever ordered!). :) ...
